Bord Bia Schools Competition 2019

Listowel Food Fair is Ireland’s longest running Food Fair and is now celebrating its 25th year in existence. We invite you to be part of this year’s school competition. In conjunction with Bord Bia we have compiled our annual competition for secondary school students. So once again this year our winners of the Bord Bia Schools Competition will be presented with their awards at the FOOD ACADEMY on Friday 8th November. 

This year we are also asking Junior and Senior cycle students to focus their research on the Bord Bia Quality Mark and to look at ways of targeting Irish people to buy more Quality Assured products. Competition Entries must be in by Friday 18th October. Best of Luck.

FOOD ACADEMY 2019

Following on from last years successful event this year the Food Academy takes place on Friday 8th November in the Listowel Arms Hotel. ln 2019 the Food Academy will focus on Nutrition Diet and Wellbeing for students with this years speakers – Lisa Fingleton, Dr Eva Orsmond and cooking demo with Chef Mark Doe.
The prizes for the Bord Bia Quality Mark Schools Competition will also be awarded to the winning groups and teachers. Winning projects will be on display.
All school students and teachers are invited to attend .Please confirm by Fri 4th October if your School will be attending the Food Academy by downloading the form, completing the form and returning it to moriartymairead@hotmail.com.
